MariaDB is a community developed project, with Monty Program Ab as it's main driver. Monty Program Ab, together with the Maria-captains, takes the responsibility that all code in the MariaDB trees is of good quality and that we do regular releases of MariaDB.
Monty Program Ab does however need contributors and money to be able to do this.. You can help us with this through one of the following methods.
- Buy extensions / optimization / new features / bug fixes/ support for MariaDB / MySQL from Monty Program Ab.
- Offer to pay for the features you need which are listed in worklog.
- Add new interesting tasks to worklog that you would like to have solved and add how much you would like to pay to get it done.
- Join the MariaDB community and help us develop MariaDB.
- Donate spare CPU cycles by volunteering to run a build slave.
- Provide us with machines to builds on platforms we don't yet support. (Email to info at askmonty.org if you are interested in doing this and/or use the donate button below)
- Allow your employees to work part time on MariaDB.
Projects that are put in worklog can also be developed by people outside of Monty Program Ab. If the project is done, delivered and accepted into MariaDB, a major part of the money will be donated to the developer. If you are interest in doing something in worklog, please contact us on 'maria-developers at askmonty.org' or 'sales at askmonty.org'.

We believe in supporting the products we use and the projects we work with.
Monty Program Ab and Monty are helping and giving donations to the following projects:
- We donate (at least) 50 % of our time to work with the community on MariaDB.
- We drive and maintain the MariaDB knowledge base.

- We sponsored the Community leadership summit
- We are a large sponsor of Freenode. This is to help them become a foundation.
- We have given money and advice to The Human Creativity Project.
- We made a major donation to PatentLens that helped them over some rough times.
- We made a major donation to The Software Freedom Law Center to support their good work.
- We made a significant donation to the Open Source Bridge conference, because we LOVE Portland and PDX hackers!
- We have donated some money to the Community Leadership Summit to support the inaugural year of this important conference.
- We have been sponsoring OpenSQL Camp, The Linux Foundation's LinuxCon conferences in North America, Europe and Japan, the O'Reilly MySQL Conference and many more coferences and other events.
